New Moon Dragon Magic

New Moon Dragon Magic In China, the dragon embodies the mysteries

of the countryside and appears as twisting currents of energy irrigating the rocky hills and lands. In the winter, this force lays dormant and sleeping. When summer comes, the power expresses itself in the vivid rhythms of the quickening earth. The exhalations of the dragon’s breath form the clouds that bring the rain. The dragon represents a powerful water god, who can magickally shrink into a raindrop, and as such, is almost always associated with water. As an elemental contrast, the dragon breathes fire and symbolizes lightning, a force that illuminates the sky. You will need sage smudge, a red candle, dragon’s blood incense, and sandalwood-scented oil. A great being of wisdom and knowledge, the magickal dragon knows the secrets of renewal and perpetual rebirth. As such the dragon represents spiritual transcendence as you rise from one plateau of perception to another. As you transcend you feel much more awake and aware. Begin by smudging your magickal space with the sage. When you are done smudging, be careful to completely extinguish the smudge. Draw a circle of light and call in the elements. Next, light the candle and dedicate it to the dragon energy by saying: “Fire of fire, light of light, Come ye dragons of magickal flight.” Light the incense from the candle flame, dedicating it to the dragons by saying: “Fire of air, smoke of flame Come ye dragons of magickal flight.” Put a drop of sandalwood-scented oil on your index finger of your power hand and rub it into your third eye, located in the middle of your forehead, about half an inch above your eyebrows. As you do, say three times: “Bring to me, dragon dreams tonight.” Allow the candle to safely burn down, or snuff it out and burn it down the next day. As you drift to sleep, repeat the following over and over to yourself. “I will dream with dragons tonight and remember when I wake up.” When you awaken, write all the details you remember from your dreams. Pull the circle and bid farewell to the elements when you are done. Thank the dragons of magickal flight. Wiccan Spell A Night Sirona Knight Via - http://witchesofthecraft.com/
